ACADEMIC INTEGRITY AND PERFORMANCE

   

    As uni students,we are going to have tons of assignments that we need to submit on time.Students who do not know how to manage their time wisely are going to have trouble with doing the research on their own which this then lead to PLAGIARISM.Based on Google plagiarism means "the practice of taking someone else's work or ideas and passing them off as one's own"; same meaning as "copying,infringement of copyright,piracy,theft,stealing,poaching".

Meanwhile what I understand about plagiarism from today's class is;

  1. When you turn someone else's work as your own.

  2. When you copy words or the ideas from someone else without giving credit to them.

  3. When you fail to put quotation in quotation marks.

   

    There are few ways to prevent from doing this.The first thing is plan your paper and by that it means you can whether construct your instructor if you need help,in case if you don't understand anything.Make sure to take effective notes during class so it will be easier for you to proceed with your assignment and you don't have to refer to other people so many times.The second thing is when you write your paper ;

    1. Make it clear who said that

    2. Know how to paraphrase

    3. Evaluate your sources

    4. Include a reference page
